On the morning of January 1, 2014 approximately 20 participants gathered at Elgin Pond for the second annual Polar Plunge to support the United Way Durham Region. Among those there were 8 people representing family owned and operated residential garage door company Upright Door Service Inc. Thanks to everyone who joined Alan Fortnum, as part of team Upright: Kevin, Andrew, Bill, Rachael, Sarah, Alana and Daniel.  Over $7,000 was raised for the United Way.
